A person who attempts to simultaneously watch five television programs. This is generally accomplished by sporadically changing channels, usually during advertisements. Anyone else who happens to be watching can't tell what's going on in any particular program, and most people suspect that the chandler can't either.

My son's a chandler, and he has introduced a refinement. After going through all the channels (4) and finding nothing worth watching, he will keep going, still finding nothing worth watching, until the remote is forcibly removed from his hands.
