Entry: Weebl and Bob - A14215402

This has been a bit difficult to cover without including the phrase "ty biscuits" along with many other Weeblisms that would probably prove unsuitable for a BBC family audience...
What do you think?

I'm amazed we haven't already got an Entry on Weebl and Bob. I think this is going to plug perhaps the single most glaring gap in the entire EG
>>which included a vast range of characters<< - Is 'vast' not a bit of an overstatement?
>>and a gap halfway down where his mouth is<< - "and a gap halfway down where his mouth isn't" surely?
>>English accent makes a point of never visiting the toilet<< - something missing in the middle there.
It's Morten Harket. It's also 'Take On Me'. And no, before you ask, he does not make me moist in my special places.
Very nice

Sorted
Should I keep the footnote about Morton at the start of the characters section or should I move it next to the Take On Me bit?

I think it's good where it is.
Maybe "a-ha's 'Take On Me'"?
If you haven't seen that one, the Entry makes as much clear sense as it can, I think, without giving anything away.

"without giving anything away"
I'm not sure what you mean - are you talking about the episode 'paper', or the Entry on a-ha? I've seen both

Trin Tragula Posted Sep 9, 2006
I mean about the episode - if you have that first footnoted reference to Harket, it's an in-joke for weebl addicts, the second one stands separate from it without making the connection at all heavy-handed.
I'm saying I like it as it is, basically

Nope - just me misunderstanding. I should have read it as "if you hadn't seen it, the entry would still make sense" but I didn't.

Great entry, it's about time W&B got into the guide.

Good Stuff
Though I noticed no mention of the infamous badger badger flash. If its not originally theirs they certainly did a lot to publicise it and its later incarnations on their site.

The Badger Badger Badger Flash cartoon was indeed the work of Jonti Picking, under the alias of Weebl, but that's not the same Weebl as the famous egg-shaped pie-lover. The other cartoons on http://www.weebls-stuff.com/ will need a separate entry, methinks.

I was wondering if this had to do with the website with the Badger and Kenya cartoons.

Sorry, couldn't help it. Great entry, though.

I should have mentioned four days ago that I've added a footnote mentioning Badgers etc, but it slipped my mind.
Any more comments?

Fantastic, but why no mention of Team Laser Explosion?
My other main beef is with the Characters section. Might it work better as a list?
You could also mention the computer games starring Chris: http://www.cdhinteractive.net/index.php?title=ninjapirate3&menu=403&PHPSESSID=9edfba5bc6f9261c790c9e9fd36071dc
