Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

Nice entry smiley - ok

Sounds like Chocolate Horlicks (which is yummy). Might have to try a trip to Sainsbury's.

One small itty bitty thing on first read through:

In the Cold Milo recipe you say "add at least 4 (or more)" I don't think the "at least" needs to be there, particularly as you just say 4 or more in the Hot Milo recipe smiley - smiley

Interesting Entry Matt, I've tried a few different hot chocolate drinks, but not Milo. I'll look out for it, when I've finished the catering size tin of Cadbury's hot smiley - choc I have just started on. smiley - smiley

Fondly remember those Milo trucks that used to come by at Sports Day to dish out Milo to us little ones... A bit too sweet for my liking but the taste was similar to the 3 in 1 packets of Milo that you get nowadays.

Matt, the first thing that popped into my mind was "is it any different from other brands of drinking chocolate"? Is there in fact any difference, or is the only difference the brand?

ah, good point! It's a lot 'grainier' than most other brands and is actually somewhat bitter. I'll add that in smiley - cheers

Isn't it also malted, Matt? That gives it a slightly smokier flavour than say C*dbury's Drinking Chocolate...

Although Nestlé dominates the German market for sweets and chocolate powder, I've never heard of Milo. Looks as if we're missing out on all the good stuff smiley - wah

Not a suggestion, just a question - is it anything like Ovaltine?

A13713176 - Milo - Australian Chocolate Drink

Post 16

U168592

a bit, but not really. Ovaltine is smoother and stirs into the milk easier I think smiley - ok

The taste is similar though, from memory.

" - all of them are delicious."

So how much are Nestle paying you, then? smiley - tongueout
It's just that most people think that smiley - choc is delicious, except for those that don't. smiley - drool

Oh and by the way, if you ask someone in the UK about 'Milo', they will probably refer you to 'The Tweenies' (Milo is the purple one, apparently)
