I find that in Stoke I meet an absurd number of people who claim to be related to Reginald Mitchell (developer of the spitfire); far more than who claim blood ties to Stoke's other great gifts to the world (Slash from Guns & Roses, Capt of the Titanic).
I think here would be a good place for people to come clean on
i) Have they ever claimed a family link with Reginald Mitchell
ii) On what evidence is this based?
To start the offing, I have never claimed a family link with Reginald Mitchell....
