Hi,
David Blaine is an illusionist - this is what he does.
Just as he didn't float off the ground, I don't believe he survived 44 days and nights just drinking pure water. Since his job is to be an illusionist he has simply worked out a way to get nutrition that we haven't yet worked out. That's it.
Myriad.

interesting - i haven't heard a theory along those lines... an alternative way of gaining nutrition... interesting...

of course there's always the possibility/likelyhood that it is actually real...

mmmmm - he did a bit of horizontal jogging with his girlfriend in the hospital! likelyhood that it's real????????

true, but then its quite clear that most of his promo/publicity stuff is fake, such as chopping off his ear... however its hard to see a way in which he could replicate actually doing those real stunts...

It being hard to see is the point - that's why he gets millions for doing it!

yeh, but surely he'd get even more if it really was real...
no one can prove the real stunts were fake - they've randomly tested the water etc. etc....

As the scientists and doctors have said - if it really was real he could have permanently damaged his body and maybe blinded himself - he was already rich enough before the stunt therefore logic tells me it was an illusion!

"As the scientists and doctors have said - if it really was real he could have permanently damaged his body and maybe blinded himself..."
well the important, operative word in what you said is could...
could is not would, and while it may well be should, it is not hard and fast...

Yes - but what kind of idiot would take that risk when he doesn't need to. Far easier to make it an illusion and get all the money and have gullible people believe . . .

mmmm - I remain sceptical - self publicists don't do it for me.
Key: Complain about this post
