Scorching summer days have us reaching for all sorts of ways to beat the heat. And who can resist an ice cream? Whether strolling along a seafront promenade with a precariously balanced triple-scoop or chasing the ice cream van down the street for a 99 Flake - these cooling cones bring back sunny childhood memories while offering glorious bursts of flavour.

We want to know all about your favourite flavours of ice cream. Apparently vanilla is the most popular overall in the UK. But these days we're not restricted to just chocolate, strawberry or neapolitana. Choices seem limitless - with green tea, chilli and cracked black pepper jostling for space among sweeter treats like bubblegum and mango 'n' ginger. In Japan's capital, Tokyo, you can buy octopus and shrimp flavoured ice creams alongside vegetarian options such as garlic soybean...

Even the types of ice cream vary - gelato, frozen yoghurt and sorbet are alternative options to full-fat dairy... We want you to tell us:
