I scrapped it as I felt it wasn't needed. Did think if someone wanted to write a sole entry on the frog song they could and thats where it would appear.

Just a response to one of your queries in posting 9:

>> Rupert Bear and his adventures in Nutwood were primarily televised by Ellipse (France) in 1993 -- but you've already said that they were televised by ITV or ATV. So this can't be "primarily". <<

The problem is, these are two different productiosn separated by 20 years. The 1970s puppet series was made by ATV for broadcast across the ITV network. The 1990s series was animated and made by a completely different company.

Gnomon - time to move on

Opti has in fact changed the wording so it doesn't say "primarily" now.

The point I was making was that I now look through this and see some of the same mistakes I pointed out in Posting 9 still there. I don't want to have to do a detailed proofread every time you say you have updated it, Opti. If you don't want to make the changes I suggest, please let me know you're not doing them, and why you're not doing them.

Assuming you have done all the changes that everybody has suggested, or have a good reason for not doing them, then this is ready for Peer Review. But only put it into Peer Review if you feel you can spend the time acting upon suggestions made by other people there.

I've looked at all the postings again smiley - smiley and yes there are a few things that are yet to be addressed. The main thing being the television part. Other things which have yet to be changed are:

1) "Bestall and Tourtal " -- note spelling
2) "Harrold was born in 1947 and first started drawing Rupert for the Daily Express in 1973 in Fun to Cook with Rupert his first Rupert the Bear story and annual work14 was in 1976, and for over 20 years he has created covers and endpapers for the Rupert Annuals15 ." -- I don't understand this sentence as you have bunged a whole lot of different things together. Split it up into three or four sentences.

While these two things don't neded to be changed.
>>in a variety of mediums --> in a variety of media
>>I don't think we need the note about Herbert dying. He is not part of the story.
Yes Herbert is part of the story he was the one who nominated his wife to draw Rupert

The only mediums I can think of are in the physic world, that supposedly communicate with the dead, and are the mediums between this world and the next - or something like that smiley - laugh

And, knowing me, I've probably got that wrong smiley - erm

Mediums are groups of people who profess to being a medium. Or 'all those shirts over there are mediums'.

When you're talking about different types of medium, ie magazines, books, TV etc, it's 'media'.

"Mediums" is where you find me in a clothes store...then there's the group of people who commune with the deceased, I'm reminded of a joke, a psychic midget escaped from jail, and the newspaper headling read: Small medium at largesmiley - laugh

Try this:

Harrold was born in 1947. He first started drawing Rupert for the Daily Express in 1973 in 'Fun to Cook with Rupert', with his first work on annuals appearing in 1976. By 2006, he'd been creating artwork for Rupert annuals (covers and endpapers) for over 20 years.
