Journalist's Intent

Post 1

FairlyStrange

Strange, how most people's view of what a journalist's intentions are tend to be the opposite of what you think they are. That's a fresh viewpoint, and one, I must say, I have never thought of before.

People do tend to require that you reduce the world to it's simplest level. That can get risky when trying to promote truth and fact. I do not envy your task.

Journalist's Intent

Post 2

Maid Marion

I, as some-one who in the past has just watched the news on the TV.
Or picked up a newspaper to read what is going on in the world.
Whether it be local or worldwide. Happy or tragic.
Am starting to think more about the people whose job it is to report such things.
I realise too, that you cannot use your imagination at all, it must all be factual, and as you or any other journalist
sees things. I get to know the news from your personal point of view. I find this facinating.
