That's great. I can't be missed. I'm the one with the walking stick, black bag, three pairs of binos and a digicam. I'm not bringing the scope as it smiley - ill and not terribly clear. Plus it is one less thing to carry.

Mrs Bojangles

From Paddington, you should hop on the tube to Hammersmith, once there, cross over to the 'other' Hammersmith station (sorry, can't remember the name of it) and catch either a 33 or 72 or 283 bus, and asked to be dropped off near the Wetlands centre, most bus drivers are happy to give you a shout out. Otherwise, just look out for The Red Lion pub as you get to Barnes, the bus stops a few yards past the pub. Backtrack from the bus stop towards the pub and you'll come to a wee slip road called Queen Elizabeth's Walk, turn right into the road and after around a 5 minute walk you'll come to the Wetlands.smiley - smiley

Rich, your best bet is probably going to be:

Paddington train to East Putney station
Walk to Putney station
Train to Barnes station
Walk or bus to the Wetland Centre

Otherwise, coming through Hammersmith is best as the buses are really easy from there.

Buses include 72, 337 and I think it's the 283 direct Wetland service from Hammersmith.

smiley - ok

Gnomon - time to move on

From Hammersmith Tube take the 283, our specially branded Duck Bus from stand C, which will bring you directly into the centre. Alternatively, buses 33, 72 and 209 stop nearby (alight at the Red Lion Pub). These buses leave Hammersmith bus station from stand B. From Barnes mainline station take bus 33 or 72 or from Barnes Bridge take bus 209
