Who knows anything about pubs?
2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Dec 19, 2003
in London. I could have swrone, that at the last two meets in London, we were in teh Shakespear's head, during lunchtime/afternoon, efore the evening kicked off... Now, trying to track down the location of this pub, which I believed to be in High Holborn, I don't seem to be able to find it and I came across the name 'Princess Louise' in a thread to do with lunchtime drinking activity at one of the last two London meets So, can anyone remember Which pub we were in last time at the meet, and what it was called, and where it was, and weather it was the one with the realy high windows and very old and stuff and which sold beer and dodgy looking sandwichs and when was the Princess Louise, and which is best and desirable and things and stuff and whatnot and ho who prefers what when how why where what?

Well, going by your journal about the summer meet, it was the Princess Louise
Of course, going by that same journal, you were beset by minions of daydyson and flung various types of cheese...

The Shakespear's Head was the pub where we officially met at last year's xmas do for the afternoon - it's on Kingsway, not High Holborn. Although as Amy said, a lot of people went to the Princess Louise at the summer meet to avoid the activities in Hyde Park.
You're doing a great job organising this 2legs!

So which one are we going to *this* time? I prefer the Princess Loise to the Shakespeare's I think from what little I remember... though I could just go top the museum and avoid both...

Looks like th4e Shakespears head; as that has been on the page about the meet for a while, it is possible that some people might not check back to the page beforehand, to notice that it mighten have changed to the Princess louise but we can see how it goes there, and always wonder off later if we get bored there looks like my train will get into London Kings Cross about 12.30, so I should be there by 1 PM; any idea what time you'l be turning up?

I've not had a drop today... I've not had ought to eat either and I've gotten somewhat out of sinc with H2G2 since my exhille to the backwater that was a dialup at my Dads It just got so frustrating trying to use H2G2 on dialup, that I only checked in a couple of times or so So, when will you be joining the merry throng on Saturday should that be throng?

I'll be arriving straight to the Penderals Oak I expect, in the early evening.
I'm either going to have J for the afternoon, or drop in on another website meet-up that is going on in the afternoon. They don't often happen when I'm free to go, so I want to squeeze everything in while I have the chance.

I'll be arriving around three-ish at the pub (hopefully) with Alfredo Marquez in tow. So if you see a tall thin fella with blonde hair, dark beard and black coat and a much shorter guy wth red hair, that's either us or someone who looks freakishly similar.

I'll be the 'large' drunk guy at the bar in black with a pony tail Hopefully by that point there should be a few arrived at the Shakespears head
