Just curious....is there going to be a buffet in the evening? If so do we have to pay?
If there is I won't want to partake because I don't think there'll be anything suitable for me (I'm a vegan), so I just wanted to check we don't have to hand over a tenner like last year...

I'll be there! A bit nervous 'cos I'll be coming on my own this time (last two winter meets I convinced someone to accompany me but this time they've both declined )

The last time there wasn't a buffet, but as it was a Wetherspoons they were running their normal food service. They were a bit slow though, they probably weren't expecting that many people to want food or something. Getting your orders in early or grabbing something on the way from the museum seems like a very good idea.

We did have a food thing at the evning pub a couple of meets ago I seem to remember, food was very nice, but wasn't enough, there is no plan to do anything like that this time. I think its best not doing food as part of it, as the cost might put some people off, and its awkward knowing exactly how many people will turn up on the day. However, they do food in the pub anyhow, so thats always there for those that want it Last year we found a little cafe place, not too far from the Shakespears head, wher ewe went sort of late afternoon, 'Franks Cafe' i believe it might have been, wasn't too bad a place, the steak was pretty good and a pretty good size too I suggest peanuts, to cusion your bodies against the effect of the matter transference beam, matter transference always causes salt to be lost. Ooooo nearly time for cocktails
