Hi As a new member and to help get things going i thought I might start with this.

As I dont do well in Edited Guide Writing Workshop I thought I might put this forward for comment here

The comment I made on your Ermine Street entry applies equally to this one. THere's nothing particularly interesting about a list of towns, even if they are all in a line. You need other details to make it interesting.

Agreed, however this is a layout rough are there any errors that will leap out and bite later.
Its easier to swap things around at this point and if any has ideas it is easier to amend to include them.
I am more concerned that the transition from road, to wall, to town and back to wall again is not confusing.

Any comments if its ok I will fill out the rest.

I find it confusing, anyway. Why is Carlisle in there twice?

Would you not be better writing an Entry about Hadrian's Wall itself?

Why do you need conditions as numbers? By the time someone got to the end, they'd have forgotten what each number meant.

Are all these roads really unnamed? Most roads have a name, or a number.

Thanks for the input.
Yes they are (as far as I can find out). The only road referrnce Lislisted on the Antonine Itinerary II as a route.

Not much help is it.

Any ideas, apart from an explanation it the preamble and Itinerary II instead of unnamed roads.

A: Yes But I did not think the Ravenglas to Netherby road was sufficiant to make an entry on its own. Comments please.

Mentioned 2nd as a town on the wall and on the Stangate road.
Any ideas or comments please.
