Pulled Flatscan's piece from the Flea Market, and added... er... quite a lot of my own work.

Does any of this make sense, or am I just a sad comics smiley - geek?

Very true.

I just never considered myself to be a comics smiley - geek before. But now I realise a must be.

And I really like Warren Ellis' writing!

It looks very good - the trouble is, I have no knowledge of the subject area, and as such am reticent to comment too much in Peer Review.

That's the continual conundrum - the further off the beaten track an entry is (and also therefore you could say the more valuable addition to the EG that it will be), the less people come to comment on it in PR because they have no personal experience of it.

This also is true.

I must admit that theres probably a lot of stuff that I don't look at in PR because I have no interest in the subject area.

That said I've been fairly absent from PR as a whole for a few weeks - life has been difficult. Must make more effort this week.

Very interesting! smiley - ok Some formatting stuff. I love the links, but a few of them bother me. You say "Doom invaded America" and link to Gnomon's excellent entry They Discovered America.

You also link to A471241 from the word revolution. I'm not one to criticise imaginative linking, but it's misleading linking. Same with corporations --> A642944, leader --> A925841, parallel --> A273070 and technology --> A750926 and several others

Also, the house style says that we shouldn't put a period (full stop... whatever smiley - smiley) to abbreviate, so Dr. Druid --> Dr Druid smiley - tongueout

And your unordered list should have tags between the

I meant to mention that we have an entry on the US that would be better for linking. The USA and its Inhabitants- A260461

Not an entry I particularly like, but fit for linking smiley - ok

I admit I went a bit 'link-happy' at one point. Just throwing things in if there was a word in common.

I'll go through them again with a finer-toothed comb.

smiley - applause A fine piece of work. I'm not really a comics fan and I have to admit that I'd never heard of the guy before reading this, but this certainly makes me interested in finding some of his work. There are some great plot ideas there!

One possible typo: 'Born in 1968, Ellis started to make money out of writing comics 1990'. This would probably be OK in America, but for the EG I think you need an 'in' between 'comics' and '1990'.

I've tried to address some of the issues. Fixed typos and removed silly links, though somehow some ? seem to have works their way in. I'm trying to stamp on them though.

Anything else, let me know.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
