Challenge: how to speak 'market trader yell'

Post 1

The Groob

I was going to do 'schisms alienating the neo-platonist paradigm' but I think this has grabbed my attention for the moment. There may well be a name for 'market trader yell' or even a dialect-convertor.

The sort of thing I mean:

Two pander carrar ere ay eeeeee = two pounds of carrots here ladies

Four stordaa paaaan! = four strawberries for a pound

and of course, any rag-or-lumber man is also proficient in MTL:

any arder lurrar!? = any old rags or lumber?

Maybe there is a system to convert any sentence into MTL:

Ayeee seenar toobraaaar luuuur? = have you seen my toothbrush love?

Was it The Two Ronnies who did the old Evening Standard joke, with the middle-class twit trying to teach the paper-seller how to pronounce the name of his paper properly, only to be sold a copy of the 'Eevern Stannart'? smiley - biggrin

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Reckon I should get out more in that case - I knew about 'Morny Stannit' too smiley - tongueout
