I'd say that *some* women react les to visual stimuli than *some* men. It's hard to generalise, just as some women, err, get their jollies in a sole-manner just as easy as men do, while some do it in a much different way.

The term for the female equivalent is 'clitoral engorgement'. In the same way as there is an increased blood flow to the penis during arousal, women experience an increased blood flow to the clitoris. And indeed clitoral engorgement does occur during the same phase of sleep as erections. The big difference is that most women can't climax in their sleep. (only most, mind you, some women can.)
