The man with no name

I too share the anticipation of a new lovers arrival er sorry, Look to Windward, but (according to UK Amazon), release is pegged for August 24.

On the film front discussed further up the board. I read that Use of Weapons was going to be turned into a film at a Banks site that I now cannot find. The production company concerned have secured a multi million pound loan from the UK government or something. Also has anyone actually managed to see the film of Complicity (more details of which can be found at: http://members.xoom.com/TheCulture/). Complicity is definitely one of my favourite non SF Banks books so I would love to see the film.

Is it just me or did anyone else find the ending to the Business surprisingly upbeat and unbanksian?

Reformed Mr Nice Guy

Who's read his latest book? "look to windward." Its great, any fan will love it. I contains some great new ideas, like a Hub that used to be a GSV which killed millions. Also the new orbital orbiting an unstable sun "cos we can."

LTW was alright, but the ending was a little dull IMHO.
I loved the idea of the airsphere (was that what they were called?). Well there're cool. so are the soulkeepers. It's nice to meet a Homodian at last too.
