"Situated underneath the axilla (underarm or armpit), these muscles cover the top areas of the first nine ribs. The axilla is directly beneath the joint where the arm connects to the shoulder. It is attached at the front by the pectoralis major, at the back with the scapula, and above the ribcage."
Not exactly...
--> "Lying medial to the axilla (underarm or armpit), these muscles originate from the first eight ribs. The axilla is defined by the rib cage and serratus anterior medially, the long head of biceps laterally, and by the anterior and posterior axillary foldsThese are the two fleshy bits that lie in front and behind your armpit.. The anterior fold consists of the pectoralis major and minor, while the posterior fold is made by the teres major and latissimus dorsi. The subscapularis and scapula form the posterior wall of the axilla nearer the top of the shoulder joint."

According to my dictionary, inflammation of a tendon = tendinitis.
