What I really hate about Ikea is.... (and it's not just Ikea either!)

To be fair most of Greggs stuff is at least edible, it's just the abomination they try to pass off as a Pasty.
The only thing I don't like about the rest of Greggs is the lack of range in the sandwiches.

Bloody Hell

Pret or Eat I can buy a knife, fork and the sandwich makings for a week for the price of one of theirs in central London.

Yeah, they're not cheap. Pret Up 'North has at least not changed their prices for quite a few years now, I think they realised people up here wouldn't pay them smiley - laugh

The USA has Wal-Mart, which generally has pretty good layout. It's so big you can get disoriented in the middle of it.smiley - online2long

I like Ikea. I found my ideal wallpaper for my bedroom in Ikea. They didn't sell it, they'd just used it in one of their little bedroom setups, but they'd very helpfully put a little note to one side saying the wallpaper came from B&Q.

I like Greggs pasties, too. Probably because I'm on a diet and anything hot and greasy has an everlasting appeal smiley - drool

Deb smiley - cheerup

Hot and greasy works for me, too, but not in large amounts. smiley - erm

Is it true you can get a decent meal in Walmart from all the free tasters smiley - smiley

I haven't been to Wal-Mart often enough to know, but my local supermarket often has a lot of free samples to hand out, as does the food court in my local shopping mall.

American shops seem to be generous with the free samples, you get a minute chunk of cheese or a slice of sausage on a cocktail stick.smiley - smiley

I've noticed that too. I was bowled over the other day when a guy was handing out free samples of Boar's Head ham in my supermarket. This is expensive stuff, and the chunks he was giving out were fairly big smiley - flyhi.
