Sounds marvelous!! I would love to visit the Western Isles, but being from the Antipodes, it is a bit of a long trip. Do people really still speak Gaelic there, or is this just something the tourist bureaus say to get people to go?

Excellent. The Celtic language group has come under so much pressure this and last century, so it is great to hear that Scots Gaelic really is alive and well as a spoken language, and not just something taught on summer schools, etc.
