Hmmm, how the rules differ between League and Union. Thats an entry in itself! Interpretation of Union for instance is a bone of constant contention between Southern Hemisphere boards and the less progressive Northern boards(as you can see I,m completley neutral on this<wink&gt

Only rudimentary comparisons would need to be done, team numbers,scrums,line outs etc(actually thats a very large etc!) otherwise you would get bogged down in the minutiae of rules and the aforementioned differences. Perhaps a better way of doing it would be to do an entry on the great Dally Messenger and his defection from union. Its just a thought

Just had a quick squiz at A846669 and times have changed since that was produced. I think this would be an entry fraught with difficulties.If for instance I were to attempt a comparison or history of the codes, I could not in good conscience write it without ;A. A bias towards Union and B.From an Australian viewpoint. As the bulk of researchers here are...lets say British, i,m sure if they followed union or league they would pick it to bits and the cry of bias towards the dominant Southern Teams of the past century or so would go out!
Still it would be a challenge to produce a dry()absolutely impartial(<wink&gt entry that set forth the achievements of one or other of the codes(might need to do 2 entries though if I list Southern Hemisphere triumphs over the old imperialist masters!)
