...have any advice to offer on where to obtain an reliable supply of lion dung? Will collect from within the UK and NI. Postage charges and customs advice would otherwise be appreciated.

I have been reliably informed that it keeps cats out of the garden. Ebay has not, to date, been of help. When I enquired about jaguar dung at Amazon, with the thought that it might have the same properties, the person at the other end of the email was most disparaging.

Lion and elephant dung is sold by the zoos. Call your nearest zoo for a shipment.

If the zoo does not sell it, suggest they do.

Hi abbi, my question wasn't 100% serious. BUT if I could find an easily obtainable supply I would in fact give it a try, preferring birds to cats in the garden.

I've just had a look re our nearest zoo. All I found was that they're supplying a local park with dung to put at the bottom of their cattle grids, to stop one of its deer 'tiptoeing' across the grids and going walkabout. Apparently it works despite these deer being generations away from ever having seen a lion. Which is amazing really.

Interesting and nice you followed up some.
The zoo could probably be giving a lot more of it away, maybe for the price of clean-up which has to be high!

Fantasia eh? Hmm, I do hope this has been cleared as suitable by the U.S Government. I hear they have just discovered that these cartoonists can be dangerous creatures.

--Maybe they should be put to good use scaring pussies instead? Doesn't seem to work with Yoda though.....
