Light, if you're reading this, I apologise for not letting you know at the time I conducted this little 'experiment' in personnas.
You (and all the other ACESs) do a fantastic job and I am in awe at the amount of time you guys devote in the name of friendliness to making people feel welcome at this site.
At the time I did this (beginning of this year) I was getting to the end of my enjoyment of h2g2.com - I just started to feel worn out and weary of the site. I didn't have the time to explore new places and people, and was feeling neither I, my friends or anybody else for that matter were getting anything out of my time here.
Seriously, logging on as a new character and talking to the people who greeted me (you being the first, Light) turned me about on that. I still have fond memories of when I started here - the place was pretty new then - and of all the friends I made at that time. Being a leaf for a while remminded me of all of that.
May I recommend it too for any of the other 'oldies' who feel the same way. Reinvent yourself for a while and see what fun the site still is!
