h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

well, i'm not sure why there was a diplomatic ship in hutt space, i just saw it being attacked... i also intercepted some radio communications, if you want to hear them.
*pulls out little recorder*

Kellen: Very well... Amuse me

*hits the playback button*
sorry for the old tech, i just cant afford anything

*video playback begins*

*a diplomatic ship flies off from the surface of hoth, and heads towards courascant. A nearby ship (three times the size), as yet still unidentified, begins shooting at the smaller craft. The smaller craft sends out a distress signal and a coded message. the message says "we are under att... please, if anyo... import.... cargo.... chancel....". Just then the ship is destroyed, and a small escape pod is seen dropping towards the hoth surface*

Now i went to the surface to recover the items in the pod, where there was already imperial troopers searching for something, i'm guessing it was the cargo that the ship was talking about.

*pulls out envelope*
i'm not sure whats in it, but this is the only thing that was in the pod, the pod was still sealed when i got there...

there's also something else...

Kellen: And that would be?
*takes envelope*

on the surface, i saw jedi... i'm not sure what they wanted, or what they were doing, but as soon as i saw them, i left as fast as possible.

Kellen: *opens envelope*
....
*hums*
Guards... arrest this man as a possible spy.... and interrogate him....
I have a feeling we're not being told everything

What, Why? I havent done anything wrong!!! I just told you there is a possible threat, and if i wanted to do anything, i had ample oppertunity.

Kellen: I cannot risk that you do not know the contents of this envelope, also I beleve that you are keeping something from us...
*to the guards* Frisk him down make sure he isn't hiding a weapon

but the envelope was sealed, so how would i know what was in it!!! and if you believe i'm keeping something from you, ask me about it. if i lie, and you certinaly look like you would know, there's a whole security force here ready to blast me!!

Kellin: Very well... why are you really here? I do not beleve for a second that you mearly stumbled upon that ship. nor do I beleve that you are mearly an upstanding pillar of the community... you are eather a spy an assassin or a jedi.... or all three... It would not be unheard of....

I was taking my ship for a test run after making some major upgrades and repairs to it, and there's no better place for a test run then empty space. There's plenty of that around hoth because no-one goes there. It was just a misfortune that i had to witness what was going on.

* the guards search him*


Kellen: I didn't get to where I am today by listening to tall tails of "I was just testing my ship on a well known smuggling route..."

*guards find nothing*

GUARD: He's clean

So now what happens? as you can see i am unarmed and i have done everything you have asked for

Kellen: so you say spy... but perhaps you are just very good at hiding your true identity

well what are you going to do to me now??

Kellen: well lock you up i suppose. till an alternative can be aranged

*guard takes jake to holding cell B and locks him up*
