No I did not /personally/ investigate. I rely on the brilliant service of CorSec to do the necessary police, or do you not think the security force of the planet is compotent at handling these matters?

Although I certainly do not condone the actions of the Kamino Ambassador in his approach to us in a war enviroment, I certainly donot condone the actions that led to this war declaration.



NABOO: I believe the Ambassador's approach to be crass and was inviting aggression by diregarding this ultimatum, however, you, Chancellor do not have emergency powers nor, considering history would we give them so flippantly as this war was declared.
We need to be consulted Chancellor, by means even when this building is inoperable.

Without sufficient evidence against the Ambassador no matter damning it would seem to be regarding Ryloth.

Were this not so close to election time Chancellor I would move for a vote of no confidence but instead.

I move that this Trial be voided and the Amabassor returned to Kamino THEN we, WE chancellor, can begin a route that will prevent any shots being fired.

Something has gone on here that needs investigation.. if it is the senates will then Kamino will see the guilty brought to justice alongside Corsec and the Republic, rather then draw a battleline against it

Several weeks ago Kamino was delivered an ultimatum. To bring those responsable for the Ryloth incident to justice.

Several hours ago a routine scan reveiled a ship of unknown origin on the edges of Kaminoan space drifting into the unknown regions. After receiving detailed scans and descriptions of the ship from Corsec authorities, we matched the ship to that involved in the Ryloth incident.

As commander of the fleet responsable for protecting Kamino i saw to it personally that the ship be tracked and caught. However after demanding the ship to surrender without reply the enemy ship began to charge its weapons. Not wishing to risk the life of any Kaminoan, i order my ships to open fire.

The ship was heavily armed, but scans did not show that it was only lightly armoured (i suspect this was to allow added speed). This has resulted in the destruction of the ship itself, with little salvagable material.

I will be happy to submit reports and data-reordings upon request to confirm this.

As the origin of the ship cannot be assertained, i have ordered that Kaminoan ships retain there current positions until Ambassador Mannan arrives on Coruscant to discuss this. He awaits a formal invitation from the senate so that no more misunderstandings occur between the Republic and Kamino.
