I'm going to see James' band Ghost of the Robot on the 14th May!
*ahem*
I just needed to tell someone!
Yippee!!!

Hi
I saw them at the Forum in London.
I had my purse nicked on the way there, so by the time I sorted out cancelling my cards etc, I missed the support act...but that was no bad thing apparently.
The place was completely sold out, mainly by screaming girlies, but I'd made my mind up to get down the front, which was no easy feat believe me!
They were fab, and James was a . He flirted with the whole audience, and was a very naughty boy - at the start of thg gig he handed a girl in the front row a lollipop and told her to suck it, then took it back from her and sucked on it the rest of the gig.
It was a bit strange seeing him with a shaved head though.
I was a bit surprised at the band to be honest, as they were much better than I had imagined. I'd only heard some live tracks of theirs before I went which didn't sound too great, so I wasn't expecting much. I have to admit to only going because it was a chance to see James!
I'm glad I went to see them, especially seeing as the convention on Halloween with James Marsters and David Boreanaz is £299!!
Yippee!!!

shaved head??? that must look weird!
I know their CD “Mad Brilliant”. it sounds a little stiff. but their live recordings sound much more relaxed… best of all I like James Marsters’ one-man shows, covering songs like Chocolate Jesus or Fire. but I think he doesn’t do that no more…
sorry to hear that your purse was nicked. hope there wasn’t too much money in it. so you were lucky not having kept the GotR-ticket in your purse, huh?
those conventions are more than overpriced!!! 299 pounds! that’s insane. and all you get is queuing for hours with a bunch of crazy groupies just to get an autograph…
Yippee!!!

He shaved his head for charity - there's some pics here:

The that stole my purse used my cards too - I had to go through this whole thing with my bank to get the charges refunded.
There was about £20 in my purse and I was trying to be calm about the whole affair, thinking that if they really needed the money that badly then I hope at least it would help them out. But using my bank and credit cards kind of blew that one out of the water!
Luckily I didn't put my ticket in there - I'd thought about it, but decided against it. I kind of knew that I'd lose something, I just thought it was my phone.
I was stunned when I found out that the convention was that much! I have no desire to meet David Boreanaz, so maybe I could email them and ask if I could pay half price?....
Yippee!!!

well, he doesn’t even look THAT weird with his head shaved… I thought it would look much worse. okay, here raises the question if James Marsters can look “bad” at all… maybe with long green hair? nay…
but I have to admit that IMO he looks best with bleached hair… especially if you can already see a little of his brown hair line…
oh, they used your cards, that’s nasty. some people are really … hope the incident didn’t prevent you from enjoying the concert…
I wouldn’t be that keen on meeting David Boreanaz as well. not that I didn’t like him, but he’s by far not as attractive as James Marsters. well, one could go to a convention, let David write some autographs, and sell them afterwards . I’m sure there’re some crazy girls out there who would pay a lot of money for them!

I think that having his head shaved has accentuated his feline look.
He most definitely looks best with bleached hair with dark roots... I have a pic of him on my pc that is just...
I heard that he's making a film of Macbeth - that will be interesting to see. I wonder if he's going to use an English accent, and if he does whether or not it will hold up to Shakespeare?
The whole purse stealing incident did kind of put a dampener on things, but it didn't spoil my unashamed letchery! I'd been drinking with some friends before it happened, and it sobered me up pretty fast - probably just as well or I might not have remembered the gig!
I doubt very much if I will go to that convention, as I can't justify spending £299 on waiting around all day to get a glimpse of James. It's a rip off!
Yippee!!!

Feline look – sounds good!
He seems to be very much into Macbeth. Whenever he’s got the chance he recites the one or other line… I remember him say (a while ago) that he wants to go back on stage playing Macbeth. That he’s planning to make a film is new to me.
I think he should do more TV and movie stuff. And now that Buffy and Angel came/come to an end there’ll be plenty of time to do so. He deserves the leading part of a huge Hollywood production, doesn’t he?
There are no conventions around here, so I’m not lead into temptation to go there. And I really doubt that it’s worth the money. Better spend it on Buffy and Angel DVDs…

Just spotted the photo of you, David and James in Azahard’s album!!! This photo is just gorgeous! I envy you so much! When and where did you meet them?
How did you manage to look that cool in the photo? If I had been in this “position” I’d have for sure looked like a complete idiot… like that
… or like that
or simply
!
Have I already mentioned that I envy you?! You’re so lucky!
P.S.: I love your hair!
Yippee!!!

Thanks kat!
I have to admit to forking out £299 for the ticket to the halloween convention after all.
As it got closer and closer I realised that if I didn't go I'd really regret it! I got the last ticket too!
Thanks for saying I look cool... but it was sadly due to being hungover rather than my inate stylishness!
Yippee!!!

£299! That's a lot! But I do understand your reasons! I'm sure you'll never forget that day!
Do you know what James Marsters is going to do next? Is he planning to go back to stage... or to make a movie... or to do some more music?
Yippee!!!

That weekend was pretty interesting - great for people watching!
There was a Spike-a-like there who was really funny, albeit unintentially!
I just wish that the organisers had split the event up into two days so that people could have paid for and attended just one day.
James is lovely!
He had the knack of making people feel that he was really interested in them, despite the hundreds of people that he met.
He had this way of holding your hand when he shook it, doing the Spike head tilt , and looking into your eyes really intently and saying "it's *really* good to meet you".
He was having problems with his knee that weekend (I could tell by the way he was moving around the stage when he sang his acoustic set on the Saturday evening), so when I met him to get my autograph, I gave him my buisness card (I'm a shiatsu practitioner and acupuncturist)...
James: "So you're an expert at inflicting pain?"
Me: "Oh baby, I'm the best."
He looked at me a bit strangely, I smiled by most charming and wicked smile, turned on my heel and prowled away...
only to fall over laughing a minute later for my audacity in giving him my phone number!
