What does the h2g2 Forum think?
Icy North Started conversation Dec 9, 2009
It's taken me a long time to dare to enter the h2g2 Forum - about 6 years, in fact. I've been put off by all the vehemently-argued opinions, and these esoteric terms people use, like 'moral majority'.
Still, it appears to be the place for more reasoned debate and daresay it probably attracts a better class of discussion, involving people who, through their vast knowledge and experience have earned the right to sit at this high table.
So, the question is this:
Does this house believe that Stacey should win the X-Factor this weekend?

I'm still waiting for Stacey to reveal herself to be Catherine Tate!

Ah, sorry about that

That's just typical of this place: pedantically pointing out typographical errors when we should be discussing the relative merits of the Diva from Dagenham.

A Vauxhall Diva?
My dad had one of those. It had a big hooter that scared the neighbour's cat and it finally died with big end failure on a trip to Ingliston Market.

X-factor...
What was it beforehand?
Is it a maths term? A factorial perhaps...?
My dad had a Ford Zephyr 6. A much better class of car altogether I think you'll find.

No she will come about fifteenth.
Simon Cowell will win the X-factor. As he always does.
ITV will come in a close second because the show brings in shed loads of viewers and attention form other media outlets so they will be able to draw in more of the advertising revenue they desperately need.
Third will be hack music and lyric writers who can earn shed loads in royalties with any old formulaic dross as long as its fronted by some flash in the pan songbird/novelty act.
Last but one will be anyone who enjoys interesting, meaningful music.
Obviously last of all will come all the patsies who shell out their money to keep this whole horrible freak show going.
