*wonders how the mods are going to respond to foriegn language postings....there have been many problems with this before! Do we have to provide a translation?*

Je pense que ce n'est pas un probleme pour les postes simples comme celle-ci mais si on ecris quel-que-chose plus complex c'est polis de inclus un traduction.

YOu should meet my year 7 French teacher. She was always like advertising tthe Frnch and baggin the ENglish. ONe itme she spent half an hour going on about how the English are all full of their own self-importace cause they called the English Channel 'the English Channel' and the French called it the 'Sleeve of water'

I think the trouble is both countries are full of their own self importance but we only see that of the other side.
Being English and studying French I have come to realise that the countries are in some ways very similar in their arrogant attitudes. The good thing is that usually we get over this and can put differences aside.
If Europe wishes to offer any competition to the American dominance that is sweeping this world both econmically and culturally we shall have to combine our strengths and acknowledge our differences as cultural and not 'bad'.
I'm in France at the moment and I find that I too reminisce about the good ol' English, however I hope I am considerate enough to not tell the French that they are 'cheese eating surrender monkeys' as was publiscised by our wonderful British press

Ahhhh, good old Australia, closest neighbours like us even though they talk funny and everyone else is over in their own hemisphere or at least on their own side of ours...

Anything else: Yeah... I could go for knowing some Latin too, but word has it that's ridiculously hard... so yeah, my friend Jesse who can speak Latin says it's a good idea to learn French first. I learn French and German at school, but I'm bad at French, even though I always seem to do pretty good on the tests, I still think I'm bad at it. I'm pretty good at German though. And I know no Japanese, but I think it's an awesome language. Sorry, I tend to ramble a lot, as Chris (Cat) already knows, hi Chris, I finally got around to thinking about cool languages that are awesome and stuff!! *smiles* I'm bored.

Yep. Being odd is good, because I am odd. In which case being odd is bad... but Chris is my friend, so she likes me, so that means being odd is good....ish.... maybe? *makes self confused* Look, I didn't sleep last night (stayed up watching The Comedy Channel all night while enjoying the wonderful taste of blood) so yeah, the chances of me haveing any idea what's going on around me is non-existant.
