Although there’s been a slight change of plan……
You, Blues Shark and B together could be rather a scary combination. So I’m backing out, B’s still game though.

You wuss! You wouldn't leave poor old me alone in a house with three fellas, would you now?
And we're ever so nice and gentle really....

Confess, he only said that because you were standing over him with a large pointy stick in your hand.
Set the on B and he’ll be safely out of your way in hospital.

No no, no persuasion required- it was a totally out of the blue (if you'll forgive the pun) comment while he was in Essex and me in Derbyshire.
I've already promised B I'll keep the dog in our room while he's in the house. I could set Bruce on him though

Felonious Monk - h2g2s very own Bogeyman Posted Nov 3, 2003
Do we have a firmed up agenda for the day yet? As far as I know, it's 'meet by the notice board at the entrance to the station'. And that is it....
Probable!
Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences Posted Nov 3, 2003
Well, that depends on the weather. We could do the Derby Mile, but that's a lot of pubs, or we could do a more gernal pub crawl and visit some museums, Derby's got loads of them. If it's pissing it down though, we're not going to want to wander around the town....

Felonious Monk - h2g2s very own Bogeyman Posted Nov 3, 2003
How does this sound:
* meet at 13:00
* 13:30: head for some museums
* 18:00: find a restaurant & eat
* 19:30: head for the pub and do the quiz
* 07:00: get back in
* 07:15: crash out
* 09:00: throw up....
I hope that covers everything.....

Fine, except there is no *way* the muesums in Derby can occupy 5 and a half hours, even if you visit them all, and include the really shxt ones everyone avoids! The only ones worth visiting are the Industrial Musuem and the goal- the industrial would take about 1 1/2 hours, the goal 1/2.
There's a greasy spoon near the Brunswick, we could grab something to eat there.

*raises hand*
I'll only be in Derby til shortly after 7.30.
Just thought I'd make that known (again)...

Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences Posted Nov 6, 2003
I haven't forgotten Egon- I'll make sure we're near the station by then- that's the sort of time we ought to hit The Brunswick really, and that's 20 yards from the station

Felonious Monk - h2g2s very own Bogeyman Posted Nov 8, 2003
OK: I'll suggest we have two meeting times:
13:00 by the main entrance to the train station
19:30 by the main entrance to the train station
I'll be there both times. You have my description, but I'll also be carrying a large stripey golfing umbrella, so that ought to mark me out.

Okey-dokey. But why don't we rendezvous twice anyway, so people who don't want to come in the afternoon can do so in the evening and vice versa?
Probable!
Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences Posted Nov 9, 2003
Yeah, that's fine. We can swing by the station on the way to the Brunswick.
Does anyone else coming apart from Blues drink cider, btw- if so, we can call in at the Flowerpot in the afternoon- they have cider on draught.
