There's an entry on Winchester that has just been scouted. When it's been allocated to a scout and got a new number, it might be worth a link. It mentions the Round Table.

Good entry
I think you should mention the purpose of the Round Table - I heard it's so everyone could be equal and there was no head or foot. You've kind of mentioned that, but not much. You should also say that the term is used nowadays - people have Round Table Discussions (at least, here they do ) which means everyone's equal, has to listen to everyone else, everyone has something to offer etc.
Hope that's okay...

I'll add a link to the Winchester entry today.
Newt, I included more about the purpose of the Round Table in my entry on Furniture Tables, where it's applauded as the most famous table of all time. I may need to revise my placement of information. Hmm...

The other (excellent!) entries are quite long, so it wouldn't hurt to put all conceptual and physical features of the Round Table here with the historio-mythological entry.

I have made the following changes:
* A link was added to the scouted entry on Winchester.
* A section was added titled 'Why Was the Round Table Round.'
The new section includes a discussion of the table's symbolic shape, an interesting factoid about the shape's practicality, and a reference to the phrase 'Round Table discussion.'

I thought in days of yore the king would sit in the middle of a long side of the table... I don't think I've ever seen them sitting at the head or foot (in films and such tables are normally a squared-off U shape, with the king in the middle facing the centre...). I could be wrong tho!

My understanding is that the king would typically sit at the head of the table. Like you, I may be wrong. In modern movies, the king is always seated in the middle of the table for one very practical reason. A good camera angle for multiple actors is easier to achieve with a straight line as opposed to a right angle.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

AVALON
I DREAM OF AVALON
IN THE MORNING MIST,
SURROUNDED BY SILVER BIRCH AND PINE,
ITS' CRYSTAL TOWERS,
IN THE DAWNING SUN,
DO BRIGHTLY TWINKLE AND SHINE
I DREAM OF AVALON
WHEREIN I FIND,
PEACE OF BODY
PEACE OF MIND
I DREAM OF YOU
I DREAM OF ME
I DREAM OF LOVE
I DREAM OF THEE
I SOLDIER ON
THROUGH MUD AND GRIME,
BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS,
I DREAM OF AVALON
I LIVE MY LIFE
I DO MY TIME
I DO MY YEARS
I DREAM OF AVALON
WHEREIN I REST,
LOVE CONQUERS ALL
THE WIDE AND THE WISE,
THE THICK AND THE THIN,
THE LONG AND THE SHORT AND THE TALL
