h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Goes to comm unit and calls padawan over Yavin Forests.*

*Returns to Reactor Control Room and goes through startup procedure for Reactor #2.*

*Runs test routine on Reactor #2.*

*The screen activates.*

**Fusion Reactor #2 - Test Routine completed**

**All systems operating with parameters**

*Ramps output up to normal working levels.*

*Checks Power Grid console. Power is now available for 84% of Ship Systems.*

*Mihar leaves, with the droids. A few minutes later there is a loud thump as the damaged bulkhead is cut away and falls to the floor of the forrest*

* a consol bleeps*

*Mihar returns, having replaced the damaged bulkhead*

Well, that's all sorted, all the droids are now back aboard and the hull at least should be space worthy

\/\ Ancha, Mihar, please tell me that ship is ready\/\

/\/Well, the hull's ok, I don't know about the engines though, Ancha?\/

*Ancha is still unaware of the cowardly destruction of Arras due to the “shields” around Yavin and the fact that nobody got round to telling him about it.*

*Satisfied with the progress on the engines and power systems, Ancha turns his attention to the defensive shields.*

*He studies the specs then runs some diagnostic routines.*

*The shield systems are virtually undamaged and he sets a team of droids to work to carry out the necessary repairs.*

*While studying the specs Ancha remembers back to his days as engineer in Arras Space Dock and the rumours of the development of a “Cloaking Device” for spaceships.*

*He calls in a droid and gives it a repair schedule for more of the ships systems, then leaves the ship for the Yavin hangar.*

*TARABENA flies directly to the great ship and lands in one of the hangars.*

*Ancha gets out and returns to the control centre.*

*For many days Ancha works with a team of droids building a new piece of equipment and interfacing it with the ships defensive shields. During this time he communicates with no-one. As the build goes on a team of droids undergo specialist programming.*

*Finally the equipment is ready. All the diagnostics check out but the unit will not be tested until later.*

*With teams of droids at all of the essential posts Ancha takes up the Command seat. He punches up a series of commands and the Sith Defender rises from the planet.*

*Ancha sets course for the Unknown Regions and the ship disappears.*

*Mihar opens his eyes and, blurily, looks about him, taking in a burned out access panel*

What the...

*mihar looks down at his hands and notices the scorching around the fingers of his suit*

Frak! it's a good job I'd got this on... we're moving...

*Mihar calls Casey to him over his comlink and attempts to reach out through the force to find out just where he is. Being unable to identify his location he reaches out further, trying to find Yavin, coruscant or any world with force sensatives on it*

~~Help!~~

~~Mihar... where are you?~~

~~I..I don't know, I'm aboard the Sith Defender, but I..I think I knocked my self out, it feels as if we're flying. We're not on Yavin anymore, I know that~~

~~scan through the ships onboard computers there must be a data log there somewhere that should help you find out where you are, I cant be much help right now I'm on endor, but you must be somewhere close if we can contact each other i guess, just consentrait on not crashing or something...~~

~~Umm, right, I don't actually have control of the ship, in fact I'm a little bit... just a teeny bit mind, incapacitated. That is I don't think I can move all that much. however I'll get Casey to hook into the ship's systems and see if she can find out where we are and I'll get back to you~~

Casey, I've got something for you to do. Could you hook into the ship and try and find out where we are? Actually see if you can activate some kind of beacon aswell

*after a few minutes hooked into the ship Casey whistles his response*

~~Aparently the computer lists our location as 'Space: Unknown Regions' however Casey has a log of our journey so far and he's got the ship transmitting a beacon. I'll get him to send the details to your ship on Endor, ok?~~

Casey, use the journy log to work out the direction of Endor and send all that data, using a Jedi code, on a broad spectrum whide band transmission aimed there
