Don't nitpick. It's so people can read the back story you lovingly crafted.

Ah but thats the thing. if they get interested in ma'rol they have to go dig it up from my ps - just like the jedi have to if they want to know about ma'rol

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Apr 10, 2004
ah i see that the thing has been added anyway and everything i put was ignored...
Ah well, bye bye data...

[...] Posted Apr 10, 2004
You mean the fact that it's background information on your character which is for the benefit of all readers and nothing to do with the in gaming of the rpg and isjust a reference point like a list of names, planets etc. for easier access and convienience of players?

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Apr 10, 2004
id rather that if people wanted to know that they go hunt it down. it wouldnt be archieved like other peoples.

And what incentive do poeple have to know that there's data on marol in your space if you don't tell them?
Delete the info. if you want. There's no point in it being there if you don't want people seeing it, therefore no point in writing the thing.

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Apr 10, 2004
change the thing to read something like hidden or something, and remove the link. if people are curious about ma'rol enough to come to the personae page then they'll be curious enough to look at the PS

um.why?
Errata/Addendum
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Apr 10, 2004
Why so arseish? It's not like your backstory shows anything dodgy, or makes any sense.

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Apr 10, 2004
id rather people looked for it rather then it being handed on a plate

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Apr 10, 2004
What? For bob's sake Mark, what on earth are you babbling about? You go to the trouble of writing a backstory then whine because people can read it?
What's next? Hiding your Personal Space? Wearing a bag constantly and hiding pictures of yourself at strategic points so people have to 'work to see what you look like' ???
Get a grip man!

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Apr 10, 2004
if someones looking for info on say annat, then they'd look at council records (your entery) but ma'rols not got one, because he left and the council data was faulty.
If someone wants to find out about Ma'rol then they can go investigating. Its getting far to easy to fond out about a charecter by reading there story rather then charecter getting to know charecter

I like people to 'work' for my witty retorts.

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Apr 10, 2004
but im not interested thats the point. again to repeat myself
If someones interested then they know where to look. Its like anoons back story. i didnt know it was there until it crossed my mind to look, and i was impressed with what i found because it put a different light onto the charecter. having the stories on a plate takes away some of the fun of actually looking intop things
