Who played Sharpe in the television series?
What exactly is depicted in the books? just battles, his everyday life? what?
Following on, what is depicted in the televison series and how does it differ?

Sharpe in the TV series was played by Sean Bean.
The books tell the story of the Peninsula War through the eyes of Richard Sharpe, an Officer in a number of regiments throughout the life of the stories. His personal life is involved, but most revolves around his military career and various espionage and political intrigues. The TV show covers the same things, just the stories have been adapted.
Hope that helps. If you want to know more let me know!

Want to help me and Verc with the entry Tenaka? You seem to know a bit, if you do, just have a read through the "writing the entry" conversation and join in on there, I'm sure Verc won't mind because we've not updated it for a long while!

And as you can probably see Asmodai, the entry is far from finished and will probably not be in Peer Review for another fortnight or so, seeing as myself and Verc are fairly thorough with our entries. Just look at the amount of edited entries the guy has written!
