I think you'll find the proper spelling is 'mutante'. 
yeah, i like this Island earth. Sure, it's very of it's time, but frankly I'd rather watch that than Plotless Menace, Attack of the Drones or any other of this years big Hollywood blockbusters.

Fairly easy plot to understand, I'd have thought. Scientists kidnapped by friendly aliens in order to help save planet on everge of destruction...

Hey, I never said it was perfect. But is *is* fun and it does have Faih Domergue (andother Howard Hawks discovery, along with jayne Mansfield...)in, so it can't be all bad...
I mean, I was about 8 when I first saw it, so thats 30 years ago or so...

Not sure about that. There's lots of stuff I liked as a kid that I don't like now, but I have to say that I do retain a fondness for lots of stuff I saw on the BBC when they showed stuff like this at 6.00 o'clock on Tuesdays. And the infamous horror double bills on Saturdays...
