This is very interesting!
There is one sentence that is not quite right. It has the phrase 'in the hope the monk's prayers'. This ought to have the word 'that' between 'hope' and 'the'. It should also be monks' rather than monk's, unless there was only one monk!

Nice work, Gnomon! 
The only thing I think this needs is a little more explanation of some historical/archeological terms, either in the text or in footnotes. I'd particularly like to know the meanings of 'portal dolmen', 'cist burial' and 'corbelled rood'.

I've added footnotes explaining Portal Dolmen, Cist Burial and Corbelled Roof (which I had misprinted as Rood). All these terms are explained in the linked entry on Pre-Celtic Ireland, but there is no harm in explaining them again here.

The Eds will probably want to include the location of the park in the title, as is generally done with Edited Entries about places, buildings, parks etc. So you could add 'Ferrycarrig, County Wexford, Ireland' to the title and save them a job!
