A Conversation for The Who's Who of Doctor Who.
Doctor Who

The Best Doctor was undoubtedly Troughton. It's a masterful piece of character acting, full of depth and feeling which the thin scripts could never have even hinted at. Troughton's Doctor is everything what the character should be: intelligent, anarchistic, realistically eccentric (none of the eye-rolling excesses of Tom Baker or the tongue-rolling atrocities of McCoy), and someone whom children would be instantly drawn to by his sense of fun and hint of mystery. He is occasionally shady, but Troughton's Doctor is someone we would all like as a friend and mentor.
