God, the car ads on the radio and TV!
Do they think I'm hard of hearing? Probably not.
Do they think I enjoy being screamed at? Probably not.
DO they think I'm going to bring buckets of money to their dealership for one of their lousy cars? Probably not.
Thanks to the obnoxious ads, I will never, ever, ever buy a Ford or a Chevrolet...

dont quote me but I`m sure I once heared something about advertisers being able to proccess the sound on their sound track so as to boost the vol .In UK think this (along with subliminal images) is fround upon.So why after having to turn the vol to max in order to hear the dialog in a film do my ear bleed when the averts come on.(Also why the heck did I buy a certian feminine product whilst in a hurry (it says its got wings but dought it`ll fly)the other day?)

Subliminal advertising is also illegal in the US; not sure about tinkering with the volume. Whatever they're doing, it's not having the desired effect. Then again, I'm probably not their target audience...
