This is the second time this article has been through PR - the first time the original author abandoned it to the Flea Market, from whence I picked it up, brushed the dust off, and wrote in a heck of a lot more stuff.

It, uhm, might even be too long. Feel free to hack it up in the name of making a better article! All comments welcome.

Hathornefer (ACE) Near miss - isnt that what you'd call a hit

Hi - havent given this a full readthrough yet - this is by way of bookmarking it to come back to later this week....

... but one thing I did spot is your reference to 'the soon to be released Kill Bill' you are limiting the lifespan of your entry by doing so. I am sure it is not against the house rules but with a release date of 10 October I would seriously think about future-proofing the entry.

Just a thought.

It's very good - there are a few spellings that will need to be changed from American to British English (dialog, tidbits and so on) but that's quite a minor thing.

I agree with Hath - the Kill Bill bit will be dated very soon... given his less-than-prolific output over the last few years, it will be a while before even the second instalment comes out. What do you say about hanging on until you've seen Kill Bill part 1 and can update accordingly?

My other question is: is it possible to put a little more in about his 'amateur' years, working in a video rental store, writing scripts with Roger Avary and so on. I half-remember a quote from him saying something like "We used to sit around in coffee bars discussing the Greats of Cinema and wondering if any of us would ever be with a woman"

Those are great suggestions. I should have thought of waiting until Kill Bill was out and I'd seen it and could comment on it. That makes much more sense than submitting it now. I'll re-submit this once I've had time to see Kill Bill.

Oh, yeah, I should add some stuff about Tarantino's past life in there. Particularly the coffee shop stuff as that figures into a lot of his films (viz Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, etc).

Thanks for the comments! For now I'll pull it out of PR. smiley - cheers

Oh, I definitely plan to keep it alive. In fact, the timing should turn out quite well, re-writing this right after Kill Bill comes out. smiley - bigeyes
