>>Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of the Iraqi Sunni insurgents
is this how the US media / gov are portaying him ?
He was the leader of the Iraqi Al-Queada, they are Shias and therefore totally opposed the the Sunnis, (and to Saddams old regime). The Al-Queada mob, while responcable for a fair amount of bombings and stuff are nowhere near as destabilsing as the Sunnis. al-Zarqawi's significance in the approching civil war was vastly overplayed by the allies

In the interests of appearing fair and unbalanced (ha! me?) I checked out what the BBC called him. That was what they said. And who am I to quarrel with BBC News?

Religion Should Be Private
********************
Religion is a personal identity. No ma is free from this heavenly belief, the bless of the universe.
The search of betterment is the motto of life, and in this game we should not lose our purity and authenticity. For this very reason religion is our arms.
But when we make our religious identity public, it is nothing but the cause of human division, separation and communalism. Our first identity we are human and it is eternal. But often we make some artificial identities to express our religious faith. It is, no doubt, harmful to unity.
In reality, those who are more conservatives are more backward. Wide minded man has only one identity and that is we are human and religion is personal matter. No body can identify our religious status in our public appearance is the truth of humanism. Now it is time for conservative world to be changed. Please come to understand our original identity and build a united peaceful world.
