I should be glad to be a member of this altruistic band, though I think Obsessive is more apposite than Intensive, probably leading to members being known as LOONies.

I guess you are too busy writing about baseball 
to add extra members (such as myself and Hypatia) -

Shouldn't the second "o" in LoONies be lower case? Technically it should not be there at all by the standard rules of abreviation, but LONies just wouldn't sound correct.
I guess you better sign me up.
I may not always be correct, but I do nitpick.

Yes, it should, but LOONie is already annoying. It was originally LOIN though
