I need some help finsihing this, but I figure this would be an interesting addition to the guide.

Well, after reading this, I still don't really know what these "fight rooms" are. Where are they, and how are they accessed?

Fight Rooms are rooms were people through insults at each other. It is found in http://chat.yahoo.com/. From this link you must navigate to Yahoo Voice chat, and then into the fight room.

What an interesting, and at the same time, thoroughly despicable concept. We could certainly use an edited entry about them, but it would need an awful lot more work and research.

I guess I could also mention that for some people the goal of being abusive is so that they can obtain status and possibly membership into one of the verbal fighting gangs. I do find the room despicable sometimes, but every once in a while I'll meet somebody that is really witty and can comeup with intelligent relevent insults based on what the other person was saying.

It's awfully short. This is not necessarily a drawback, but consider that there is probably more to say about it. It'll help if you try to break it up into sections, which is required anyway. Try for an intro and a division or two. Make sure you answer any and all basic questions people could ask, such as:

What is a fight room? How does it differ from other online 'rooms'?
Where would you find one? (is it just yahoo? or can they be found elsewhere?)
How does it work? (like a regular chat? Do you need an ID? What kind?)
What kind of people go there? Are there regulars, who seem perpetually irate, or do people really just go when they're annoyed?
Does it work? You mention that people go to work off their feelings. Does that, in fact, occur?
(It might be fun to interview a few, if you can get them to stop hurling nasties and chat regularly.)

is there a social use for these?

you mention gangs and bots and code. Would you be able to go into these in more detail?
