also, i think the UG editors account should have a zero on the end, as those numbers are usually so much easier to remember.

spook : I know he's on holiday. Its says it on his space. I was hoping that he would be able to leave a message from where ever he is in America.
I would have liked to have heard from all candidates before choosing. But I've made my choice now anyway
Any questions?
spook Posted Jun 26, 2003
yes, well, you can't have very high hopes about anything relating to America...

spook- we'll try to use a zero and both GTB and I are from this side of the Atlantic
You're been quite supportive for not being a miner Rho. You're the only scout to bring our attention to an FM entry.

Heres another question;
Whats six times seven?

Thanks, Jodan.
I've got another Flea Market batch to go through whenever I have the time, so I'll point out any more potentially suitable entries that I find.

With 2-3 last minute University Projects to sub, it may well be a few weeks until I have the time, I'm afraid.

Mort - a middle aged Girl Interrupted Posted Jun 27, 2003
I find myself expressing an interest in things and before you know i am a fully fledged member of something
*note to self - stop getting involved with stuff!*
Still the UG is a good thing to be in on. Providing Jodan can put up with me of course
Well got to dash - need to go and practice psychotherapy on my stressed and depressed cat (don't ask!)

Put up with you? I believe I said "Mort deals with the tedium so we don't have to" on the page this thread is hanging off of
I like that!

Question: why would games not be accepted to the Underguide? The only reason I can think of is that it might be seen as overlapping with CAC. However, since there will be many areas of overlap with CAC and the Post already, I don't see why we should set restrictions like that on the Underguide. If we restricted ourselves to prevent any overlap with CAC or the Post, there wouldn't be much territory left for UG to cover.
Any questions?
J Posted Jun 28, 2003
It depends on what you mean by games. If it's an entry describing a game, it's an overlap between the EG.
What do you mean by games though?
Any questions?
spook Posted Jun 28, 2003
nothing wrong with an overlap with the EG. describing a made up game in a humourous, perhaps Douglas Adams manner which wouldn't be accepted for the EG, should be acceptable for the UG.

Hmm, if it could be suitable for the EG with some work, then it should go into either the WW or PR. If the author doesn't want to change it or it is too good to change then there's no problem in putting it into the AWW or the UG
My thoughts anyway

spook Posted Jun 28, 2003
or, Jodan, have you perhaps considered that 2 versions of the same entry are made, one with the humour and humourous style for the UG, and one without for the EG?
Key: Complain about this post
