Dear Smudger,

What a wonderful way to be introduced to you with your "snippet" which you have entitled "WHY", particularly when I was in this strange frame of mind. Thank you for having welcomed me into the circle of dear abbi's friends. But please, do not decry your computer skills. I cannot put a single picture on my home page, let alone drop down or anything else like that.

Hi AR1, Many thanks for your reply, Im gald you enjoyed "why" I was in a weird mood when I wrote it
As regards to your home page and other PC stuff, you will get plenty help and advice on this site!
Thats how I got my home page done, It took me ages, but with a lot of help from folk here on H2, I got there.
In fact Shazz (editor of actually wrote out my complete page in "Guide Mail" in order to add those drop down Menues on my page!

The rest I picked up by printing out pages in the "Help" program of Windows 98. Its easier to read them from a print and actually carry out the programs. If you get stuck, just let me know,

Thank you so much Smudger for the advice. I shall see what I can do in the New Year. But as I also intend finishing a biography which I started three years ago of a wonderful guy in Africa I think that my home page might remain on the back burner for a little while
