Hollow them out...? *aghast* Here are some alternate suggestions: a) have them stuffed and mounted on a slab of concrete and they will make lovely doorstops (St Bernards probably won't need the concrete); b) shellac them and you have an instant conversation piece of which you know the full history; c) have them professionally skinned and collect the pelts until you have enough to sew together into a really naff bedspread or sofa cover; d) pop them on a flatbed scanner (preferably before rigor mortis sets in) and take as many hi-res scans as you can manage - then simply print the scans onto iron-on film and iron it onto anything you like [sheets, tablecloths, hankies etc]; e) be really radical and give them a proper burial (it does wonders for the roses).
