Hi there!

The links you've given have definitely made me want to learn a little more about this person. smiley - cheers

However, right now, this entry isn't much more than a list of links -- if you want to get this into the Edited Guide, you will probably need to flesh out the text somewhat.

One thing that might be worth seeing in an entry like this is a biography of the author -- wouldn't have to be long, a paragraph would do. Where is he from? How did he get started in comics?

Look forward to hearing more from you!

Memory tells me he blew the heck out of several stodgy comic book conventions with some of his titles. One such instance, The Authority deliberately destroyed a world, which kind of megadeath 'superheroes' don't do. This could be mentioned, and perhaps some short paragraphs could be added that show his particular genius could be added.

I like what you have here, but I do feel you need a bit more. His work on The Authority is particularly significant (and led to the coining of the phrase 'widescreen comics' if I recall correctly). A brief paragraph about his life, and another about his style (if one can really define it) would be great!

Personally, I'm not a fan of his work, but I would be interested to read more.

Blues Shark was the one who submitted it, and he's still active and subscribed. Hey, Blues Shark! What's your opinion on what should happen with this thread?

Heh...Give a couple of days and I'll get back to you on this, ok? Flatscan only lives a couple of minutes down the road. I know he's been working like a dog recently, but he may want to do something with this.smiley - smiley

I think it would be better if a bit more detail was given on some of his best stories.

Transmet, Authority, and Planetary are the obvious big hitters, but I must admit, I still habour a secret joy for the work he did on Doom 2099 and X-Calibre. He tired to revive the Druid around that time too, but that didn't work quite so well.

Or rather, the title of the book was normally Excalibur, but got changed to X-Calibre during the whole 'Age of Apocalypse' thing.

I've just realised that the Marvel stuff he did was about seven years ago. You can tell I've been watching him, can't you?

Ed (Flatscan) appears to have fallen off the twig a bit. Work is hammering him. Take it out of here and stick it in the flea market. eh? smiley - smiley

He or someone else can always pick it up from there.
