This is my first attempt at getting into the edited guide, and I wrote the entry on a whim after watching a few episodes one night. I thought that such a groundbreaking show should at least be mentioned here in the guide, but I found that no one had written about it yet. So I did.
Suggestions and critiques are more than welcome, of course.

Good start!!
I have two suggestions-
A section for catchphrases 'Stifle' 'Meathead' etc.
A section for memorable moments, such as when Sammy Davis Junior kissed Archie.
Also, I think that there was a spin off of one of the spin offs. I don't remember the name of it so, I'm not sure if you included it.

The purist in me says that the debt owed by Archie and Co to Johnny Speight's 'Til Death Us Do Part' is so great that the mention of it ought to be at the top of the piece, not the bottom...I don't think 'Loosely based' really covers it either...
Other than that fine. Although vastly watered down from the British original, for ASmerican TV it represented a seismic shift in programming.

I've moved the mention of 'Til Death Do Us Part to the first paragraph, and added a bit about other Norman Lear shows. I'd like to add some more information about the orignal British version, but I just can't find much information regarding it. Any suggestions?

It is quite difficult to find information on (I've been working on a piece about it for about a year now, it's slow progress). As the political correctness bandwagon has rolled round, it has fallen badly out of favour in this country, and the BBC recently admirtted that they had lost a lot of the tapes of the early episodes.

Is this seriously your first effort into the EG?
It's outstanding!
OF course, you could add piles and piles of material, but the only thing I would suggest is to mention that the show almost didn't get on the air. The network was afraid of the public backlash. From the very beginning Lear's creative team, the cast (esp. Reiner and O'Connor) and the network clashed regularly. This was the reason put forth for the show's short run (for a show of its success).
Even without this, I think this will get to the front page. Good Work!

They also thought that this was the funniest show that was ever made, which is why the made it to CBS, despite raunchy content. It had one of the longest laughs in TV History and was considered the funniest half hour of television that ever made it to air

Not to put too fine a point on it, importing All in the Family would have been a bit like sending coals to Newcastle (or in US terms, oil to Texas).
We had the original.

You also had Steptoe and Son, the basis of another classic sitcom, Sanford and Son, which I won't get into.
*hums catchy theme to Sanford and Son*

I've fixed a couple of typos I found and clarified a few points. I also want to add something in Archie's section regarding "Get outta my chair," but I can't figure out where to plug it in or even if it's worth mentioning. Suggestions?

You could make a new paragraph or section about archie's chair, it doesn't have to be blended in, it can just be it's own section
If you want

Ahem, wouldn'y it be nice to say "the controversial BBC sitcom 'Till Death Do Us Part by Johnny Speight", give the guy credit where it's due? I mea, wouldn't hurt, would it?

KerrAvon, I'll do that right now. Thanks for the suggestion. Other than that, Sam, I'm ready when you are.
