Would it be possible to put the list of 'friends/friend of' list on a separate page, with a link to it from the user page?
My user page is growing uncomfortably long because *all* my friends, regardless of what kind, show up on it.
That is not the case when it comes to journals, entries or conversations - only part of those show up on my user page - so why not the same with 'friends'?

Oh the price you pay for being popular!
The only thing I could suggest is that they swap 'guide entries' and 'friends' around so that you don't have to scroll through all the friends to get to the entries someone has written. Since the list of entries is limited it wont make scrolling down to friends too difficult.
I don't like the idea of having a 'see more friends' button, it would only result in some people feeling 'shoved off' the bottom of lists. Maybe a collapse button would work?
