Oh, thank heavens I'm not the only person who squealed at every single modulation... I swear the people who I was with were going to hit me at some point.

Of course, if a decent musician with a good sense of irony ever decided to write something for Eurovision, I'd love to see an additional minor 7th modulation - back to the original key.
Now that would go down well.

That's weird - that's the third time I've had sonatas mentioned to me today, and it's only 11.30:
1) A question on local radio this morning: how many parts does a sonata usually have?
2) Just been in m y local music shop, having a pointless debate with the owner about music prices, and wondering how he can get away with charging £5.99 for Beethoven's C-sharp minor sonata (14 pages), when Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue piano solo ( - love this piece but it's too damn hard) is only £5.49 (32 pages)
