Carol - New Zealand

Hi
Here in New Zealand we plan to contact all sorts of media/organisations to promote the voyage - newspaper, TV, radio, Environmental Education forums, schools, boating magazines, etc. I won't post the details here, but if any of the voyage people would like to see our plan do email me at [email protected]

Questions for Nick/John?
Could you please confirm if there are any restrictions on what we can do/say/use (in the way of images/content) with our media in regards to the voyages relationship with BBC?

What has so far been arranged with regard to filming with the Royal NZ Air Force fishery patrol? Do you need us to help with this? There is a good chance local media would be interested in covering this too, so we would like more detail about it.

Cheers, Carol Knutson (New Zealand)

Carol,

John and Richard Creasey of the BBC needs to answer this, but maybe if you could be a bit more specific about what you are thinking of and the possible issues?

Thanks

Nick

Hi Carol,
Thanks so much for all the ideas you have for the albatross. We don't have to make a panic response because we still do have time on our side but we do need to formulate a Plan. I've read the ideas people have contributed and I intend to respond today.

Still, sorry for my slow reply. Much going on here. I think we should ask Richard Creasey to respond to you on this. He's flying up to meet us in Inverness on Tuesday.

We have done nothing about a Royal NZ Fishery Patrol flight yet and I would very much appreciate it if you could investigate. In my experience it's just the sort of thing which makes a story in its own right.

Into the mist...John.
