...but I bet it will never catch on.
If I had a pound for every essay I have marked which does NOT follow these eminently sensible rules, even after the authors have been beaten about the head with them, I would have, well, quite a few pounds.
I have also seen the rules summarised as "Say what you're going to say, then say it, then say what you just said." It's a bit oversimplified, but I like it.
