I've just lost my father to cancer.....he was cremated last week...smiley - cry

I'd just like to say that I haven't see my father for nearly 18 years and was only with him for the last 2 weeks of his life....

.....your guide about what you are going through has, in some way, made me understand what my father went through.

This must be hard for you in some way, but good in another, but I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart in telling us what was going on and how you felt....something I can now relate to my father.

Miracles can happen, so I pray all goes well with you.....

.....PS - the liver can repair itself you know smiley - winkeye

Dear Vicki

I am so sorry to hear about your sad loss. My heart goes out to you. My father also died of cancer.

I met somebody recently who had pretty much the same condition as I have, but that was six years ago and he is now completely cured.

I can't write much at the moment but will be updating the entry as soon as I can get myself together.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Bels

Florida Sailor All is well with the world

Hi Bels;
My wife was diagnosed with lymphoma two years ago, and started her chemo on 11 Sept. 2001, While the rest of the world ( at least the U.S.A. ) was distracted by terrorists in airplanes we had a different distraction. The good news is that she has responded very well, although it has not been an easy path. We wish you the best and please pass on to your good wife our thoughts and prayers. The line about "in sickness and in health" takes on a new meaning when faced with the reality of life. Before her illness my wife was a G.I. Nurse.

Good wishes and fair breezes.

As it happens, my wife's sister died of lymphoma recently, but I do know that different types of lymphoma have different outcomes, and anyway there is always the individual element, so there is everything to hope for.

Best wishes to you both.
